The Cheap Dance was a mandatory activity during the Low-Budget 8th Grade Savannah Field Trip.

During the dance they played cheap music. Those who did not want to eat had to dance, and those who did not want to dance had to eat. People avoided dancing and eating by sitting on the floor and pretending to eat or standing up and talking and pretending to dance.

  • There were no chairs.
  • Dinner was catered from the Bronze Corral.
  • There was a single cheap light fixture.
  • Joe took out his guns and cleared the dance floor.
  • Bob stood around.
  • Mr. Broque and Mr. Broquesupporter sat on the floor.
  • Mr. Tiny was dancing vigorously but you couldn't see him.
